New Jersey man flown to EMMC after snowmobile crash in Madawaska

By Dawn Gagnon, BDN Staff MADAWASKA, Maine — A New Jersey man was airlifted to a Bangor hospital Wednesday after suffering head trauma in a snowmobile accident on a trail that passes through the parking lot of a Madawaska motel.

USCC Madawaska 100 Part 1.mov

The is the first half of the USCC Madawaska 100 Cross Country Snowmobile Race held in Madawaska on February 19, 2011. WOWL students Derrick Hebert, Jesse Clavette, Jon Lee, Taylor Pelletier and Lindsey Lavoie spent the morning filming this event which was very successful. Great work by the Madawaska Snowmobile Club and the USCC crew. 2010 Madawaska Ski Sprints

Skiers attack the course at the Madawaska Ski Sprints Aroostook Cup race. The race was held on the loop that will be used during the SuperTour finals in March.
